It is just lining the pockets of some locals and the Tax payers are getting Hosed The plan to build a new center for seniors facility in Muskingum County is moving forward. Thursday, Center officials met with County Commisisoners to give them an update on plans for the construction project. It will be located near OUZ and Zane State campuses. We have an obligation to take care of our senior citizens, their worth it, stated Peg Earhart, Board of Directors Center for Seniors President. Head architect Brain Addis from ADV Architects shared information about the schedule, design and budget process. He says his team will be working until ground breaking to shave off as much money as possible from the cost. Since November 19th they have found ways to save over one million dollars. It feels great, to be an architect that is charged with a design project with the magnitude of impact the Muskingum county center for seniors will make in the community, its an honor, said Addis. On January 5th Addis and other officials from the senior center will meet with the Commissioners again to share 3D models of the building, and discuss further budget updates. The Senior Center group has said it plans to place a levy on the ballot to pay for the project.
