I was at UITH(Unilorin Teaching Hospital) today to check the accident victims(those involved in d accident that apened in sch on thurs) (they are responding to treatment) when I was shown to the renal unit of Intensive Care Unit. And there was Babatunde Lukman (200L Education, UNILORIN), counting his remaining days on earth. The boy Kidneys are paralysed. He has been on dialysis (A mechanised Kidney) twice a week for the last 3 weeks. The Student Union raised about 830,000naira out of the 3million naira needed for transplant. But dialysis costs 80,000 per treatment and twice per week. Since the last 3 weeks, he has spent 480,000. When the remaining 350000 is exhausted... If the transplant is going to be done, we have to get 3 million naira at once. You can save him. 3 million Naira, 3 weeks...
