He is my Defense. Yours too. Recently some things were said to me that were hurtful. Someone was criticizing the church. My first impulse was to jump in and defend it. Then I heard Jesus...I Am your Defense...this is My church. So you know what I did after prayer...nothing. God reminded me of His Word... Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out : so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth ...I dont have to defend Gods church, at least not on my own strength. Anything I said would have been met with more wood. The fire would have grown. This person was not really wanting answers, they wanted to fuss. But if we hush up and pray...our Advocate will take over. Folks cant carry tales if you dont give them any wood for their fire. If your heart is right then relax. Let the Great Defender stand up for you. My tongue is sore from biting it so hard but my spirit is at peace. Yep. He is my Defense. Yours too! I love you.
