Still questions on whether he will be supplemented for the Group 1 classic next month, but certainly could be a staying prospect for the future. We come to the main event of the day, the Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes over 10 furlongs. A classic weight for age battle with the some of the greats of the turf winning this race, and no doubt the winner of todays renewal will be among those winners before them. It marks the seasonal return of Investec Derby and Irish Derby winner Australia, who could be headed towards the Prix dLarc de Triomphe with a strong showing here. There are high expectations for the flagship runner of Aidan OBriens yard, and certainly is expected to be there and abouts. Eclipse Stakes winner Mukhadram is back to a suitable distance after running in the King George, while Telescope has been the model of consistency this campaign without winning a Group 1, and it would be no shock if he wins today. Prix du Jockey Club winner The Grey Gatsby is probably slightly outclassed against older rivals, as is Arod, while Kingfisher will serve as the pacemaker for the favourite. Australia is bidding to be the fifth horse to do the Derby-International Stakes double, and if he is at his best, he should win and win well as runners head to the barriers.
