This has been the most challenging year and without the support of whanau and friends it would have been harder than what it had been. Financially we are greatful to all who have helped us along the way, the accommodation provided for us has been amazing. The opportunities and experiences this year have been mind blowing and so many people to thank for their input in her life. Started with Whanau and Te Kura I Ruamata, Waiariki Maori Womens which got her through to be selected for the Nz Senior Maori Womens team, where she had a fabulous experience at the Nz Affiliates tournament winning the Marg Hiha Trophy, from there to Harbour u18a womens, throughout the year traveling to harbour and home again to represent her Kura and win the Midlands Intercity Secondary round. Wharekura tournament with her friends placing 3rd!Tomorrow Tuhia is in the Semi Finals representing Harbour senior womens vs Wellington. We are truly grateful for all the support this year, Nga mihi ki a koutou katoa, na koutou ia I poipoi, nei ra te mihi maioha! Proud mama and beyond proud of our whanau for making dreams a reality! Perhaps breaking her leg last year was a blessing in disguise it drove her to push herself harder!
