He opens doors for me and says, ladies first. He gets offended if I dont let him carry in all the groceries from the car. He thinks Im silly for wearing make-up. I wake in the middle of the night to him holding my hand. I wake in the morning to his big eyes looking at me and his fingers tapping my cheeks saying, the sun is up. Its wake-up time. When Im crabby he puts me on the spot and demands a reason why... THEN..., he gives me advice on how to get over my crabbiness. He gently (but boldly) reminds me of my faults and keeps me on track and in check. He questions my actions and reactions to everything. He tells me Im the best. He makes me think. He is simple yet his soul is rich and so very wise beyond his years. Im grateful and so damn lucky to be a part of his journey. Im blessed that he is my teacher and my friend. I wish a very Happy Birthday to the most beautiful person Ive ever had the honor of sharing my life with. You are amazing, John Paul. I love you, son.
