He still has a price tag and reputation to prove, but if pre-season and Atleti Diego continues to turn in performances, in my opinion we have acquired the missing piece of the league-winning jigsaw...he will pick the ball up out wide and go on a 20 yard run, he will win us 6/7 free-kicks a game and run down the clock in the big games, he will frustrate the living daylights out of home fans away from home and become public enemy number 1, he will play with his back to goal and bounce defenders off of him, he will almost certainly be involved in 47 confrontations a game and threaten the odd head-butt, he will get assists, he will score a spectacular overhead or two a season, he will have the bottle to smash a pen in, he will bully teams into submission, he will make Crespo-like runs, he will give defenders a yard and still beat them with his strength, and if Atleti Diego does turn up he will be proper Chels, but he WONT bite anyone...he was the only signing upfront that made sense, and I cant wait to see him tonight and at the bridge on Saturday...if he comes off we could be talking about his departure in 10 years in a similar light to that of another beloved powerhouse...heres to hoping!
