He thought it was a fish Until the Mermaid spoke.. Her green - TopicsExpress

He thought it was a fish Until the Mermaid spoke.. Her green eyes deeper Than the depths of her origin Her hair that adorned her back Was yellow like ripe corn O Fisherboy !!! Kill me not Make me your bride In a connubial knot...she cried His eyes he closed Listening to her soothing voice Her voice was like Many stars singing together... Oh dear me.. How can I marry you For you are a Mermaid And I..a man She leaned on a rock nearby Salty tears flowed down her eyes... The blue sea flowing carelessly Turned green before.his very eyes I wished you would come I waited all life This birth and many Before this...she cried She sang to the stars She sang.to the.moon. She sang to the.willows on the shore She called them to witness The pain in her heart.. In unison...they sang her Virtues....galore She conned not into marriage..they said The treasures of the sea... Is all hers..but means nothing to her O dear boy... Be happily wed And make her your wife.. The poor Fisherboy ... Confused...bemused Made one last try... Oh Mermaid !!! How can I make you understand You live in water And I...on land I have taken a vow..she.said Many births ago That I shall wed The one who fishes me.first .... You and I were wed.long ago Previous.birth and previous afore... I am now thine By body...soul and mind He married her Then and there The skies showered stars bright The crickets and frogs sang Happy.wedding song The angels above Witnessed this nigh But soon Their paths Was vague in Different spheres And then the Mermaid Crawled into the water Her face between her hand and wept.... Sigh !!! Fisherboy ... For you.I shall wait Under this.sky As.long as the stars Blink and.go by...... MAY THE OCEAN AND THE EARTH CHANGE TO ACCOMMODATE LOVE IN THEIR CHESTS.... Sarada Kuchibhotla ( The last stanza suggested by Mallick Kumarendra ji... Thank you very much sir )
