He told me if I left he would kill me and kill my children. These are words that a terrified client whispered to her Shine Advocate. Right now, Shine is only able to help 1 out of every 4 victims of domestic abuse referred to us. Janice was one of the lucky ones, because she was helped by Shine to escape with her two small children. She is now safe, but many are not. In order to help more victims to get safe from domestic abuse, we urgently need to raise $100,000. This is where you CAN do something tangible to help more victims to get safe and stay safe. Our biggest and most important fundraising event of the year is in March, and we are recruiting amazing people like you, right now! We have prearranged collection points all over Auckland, and now we need wonderful volunteers to collect donations at those points. We will be collecting every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in March, and you can as little as one two hour shift, or you can much more!
