He was bigger than the average man and larger than life to me. He had hands that he could swing as hard as a hammer but never had to. That same hand was also gentle enough to pluck a splinter out of your finger with a pen knife. He was a coal miner, a logger, a farmer, even a milkman at one time, but everyone knows him as a carpenter. I knew him as a coach and as a the religious centerpiece of our whole family. He showed love toward his family in a way that can only be explained as fatherly. When I thought I would miss my dad if anything ever happened to him as a child, I had no idea how much he was holding back until he became a grandparent. So to the greatest man that I would argue has walked the earth since Christ himself left this great place. I would like to wish my father BIG BUCK a Happy Fathers Day.
