He, who was really the Lord of the Universe, came down for the sake of His devotees and in His inimitably divine style, acted as a thief of milk and butter in the houses of cowherd people. Even the likes of Brahma,Shiva,Narada were astonished at this leela and sang His praises. He pretended as bound by a rope by His mother and cried...who can comprehend His deeds! Here, Annamayya did this in a beautiful way and wrote this keertana. Sri Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, who, like Annamayya, becomes ecstatic while singing his keertans, sang this song in his melodiously beautiful voice. Listen this as an offering to the Lord:
