We thrive on a work hard play hard environment and as a team we come up with great ideas in order to grow with the business for the future. Your role as Head Chef requires you to be knowledgeable with fresh food and be able to lead and inspire the team of kitchen staff. Our passion and knowledge for food is used to engage the locals with a menu that is too good to resist, even if they only popped in for a drink. Duties to include: •Have strong knowledge of the ingredients and the food / products that we sell. •Work with the best ingredients in its class. •Share your knowledge of food and ingredients with staff by offering them dishes to try and discussing the products seasonality. •Promote the restaurant within the community. •Identify training needs amongst your team and train by motivating and inspiring and ensuring the highest standards are always upheld. •Keep up with the cleanliness of your kitchen by appointing tasks to your team. •Minimise and control costs. •Complete orders with suppliers. •Carry out stock takes. •Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times. •Be able to work in a pressurised environment.
