Both positions come with quality accommodation and excellent working conditions. Head Herdsperson The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up a team managing 300 autumn calving cows. The herd is run on a simple grass/ silage system with concentrate fed through the 20/40 parlour. The farm boasts excellent handling/ housing facilities. AI and foot trimming qualifications/experience would be highly desirable, though full support and on going training is available. Assistant Herd Manager This position would suit a highly motivated and ambitious person looking to gain experience in dairy herd management. Working alongside the herd manager on this 650 cow spring block calving herd, you will be involved in all aspects of herd management. While qualifications and experience would be highly desirable, enthusiasm and a can do attitude are paramount. This is an exciting position with excellent future prospects for the right person, with full support and training on offer.
