Head of Academy Coaching David Oldfield has left the Football Club to take up the vacant Assistant Manager position at Burton Albion. Oldfield completed his move to the Sky Bet League 2 outfit this morning and will be a part of new Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s coaching team at the Pirelli Stadium. Executive Director Andrew Cullen said: “David has made an instant impact within the Academy since joining us in the summer, so we’re disappointed to lose him so soon. “However, this is an opportunity for David to work within a first-team environment and we didn’t want to stand his way of doing that. Oldfield said: It was a really difficult decision to leave such a fantastic football club which is full of talented and caring people. It’s an ambitious club with huge potential, which I am sure will be achieved in the coming years. Read the full story at mkdons.
