Head of Credit Risk Location: Libya Job Description: •Maintaining a high quality lending portfolio of the business along with commensurate risk based return. •Maintaining a high quality of underwriting and presentation standards vis-a-vis Credit Applications. •Controlling Business’ credit loss rates, •Providing the required service TATs (Turn-Around-Time) to the business, •Contributing to bottom line numbers, •Ensuring product profitability is maintained, •Managing the operational risk elements of business. Desired Profile: •A post graduate degree preferably with specialization in finance. Additional professional degrees and accreditations would be preferred. •Minimum 15 years or more experience in major financial institutions, of which the last 5 years in credit & risk related functions. •Demonstrable successful track record of credit approval and recommendation. •Knowledge of Risk Rating Models and Basel II. •In depth knowledge of Credit Administration, Credit Analysis, and Restructuring. •Managerial experience - requirement to be both a team player and a leader and with substantial experience in managing large teams with at least 30 FTE or more •Strong project management skills and ability to translate desired business concepts to actual processes for implementation •Strong powers of articulation and presentation required both in the preparation of policies / strategies & presentation of the same to Senior Management.
