Head of Treasury Location: Libya Job Description: Planning and Budgeting: •Participate in the development of Treasury strategy and manage the division to achieve targets, maximize cross-sell opportunities and meet stated objectives •Prepare the annual business plan and the respective divisional budget •Lead the development of treasury and investment strategies that effectively support the attainment of the department’s business goals •Set guidelines for prudent trading, hedging and liquidity management principles •Develop policies that direct the management of the Bank’s portfolio, including approaches to domestic and foreign investment, foreign exchange and money market trading Day-to-Day Management •Represent the Bank vis-à-vis regulatory authorities and other stakeholders •Oversee the management of the Bank’s foreign exchange, money market and capital market investments, recommend interventions, as required, to mitigate risks/ maximise return •Provide guidance and support to Money Market Desk and FX Trading Desk Head, and monitor the daily performance •Review market data, analyst expectations and projected economic developments in inform investment strategies and input to day-to-day investment management approach •Coordinate with Finance to manage the Bank’s liquidity needs •Oversee management of foreign exchange exposure •Oversee management of the Bank’s securities book including purchase / sale of short-term debt instruments •Ensure adherence to daily market risk and trading limits •Consider longer term performance and assess performance against defined benchmarks •Study and analyze positive and negative deviations directs the implementation of solutions to improve performance/ financial results •Develop relationships with local, regional and international financial institutions in collaboration with Correspondent Banking •Ensure close liaison and collaboration between Treasury and business group heads in product development activity •Review product lifecycle, performance and market developments to inform product development process Desired Profile: •Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance. •Excellent Communication skills. •Experience in Treasury and Capital Markets •Solid analytical abilities combined with being detail-oriented; •Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced team environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities •Attention to detail and accuracy. •Strong organizational skills
