Head strong and Haimish........ My genetic makeup is derived from stubborn genes. The word Weiss should be synonymous with head strong. I also grew up in a Haimishe environment- A Yiddish word meaning simple, cozy and non pretentious. (Yknow- minus the glitz and glamour). I never realized the importance of these two traits until I was faced with the seemingly impossible task of losing the weight. Doubt entered my mind many times.
