Headed back to Indonesia for the third time this school year.....its been a year of pulang kampung...This time to serve as an Ensemble Leader for ISTA....a group Diana Kerry opened to me in 1995, when she hosted a MS Festival. 19 years later my relationship with ISTA has sustained, inspired and connected me to the most amazing people of every age. Hosted now by Michael Westberg, who took over the MS program at JIS (With aplomb, I might add...) when Susan King-Lachance bequethed the HS program to me. And on the artistic team, a former student, Dan Roberts, who I remember as a 6th grade youngster on his first ISTA (Beijing), with Melanie Maras as HS associate. Thanks to Sally Robertson, for keeping the ship on course...and all the very dear ISTA friends I have made along the way. In 1995, when I was suffering from the withdrawal pangs of leaving my life and my theatre company, (Elbows Akimbo); ISTA came to town and I knew there were kindred spirits here in Asia.
