Headed home soon! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and good wishes; nice to feel cared about! Docs say it was partially risk factors (stress, diet, smoking for 20+ years) but mostly a genetic pre-disposition to high cholesterol. We got to it quick (about 40 min from call to surgery), and so little to no permanent damage and long-term prospects are great: no lasting repercussions. Besides the 2 stents in my heart. Feel great, really! A bit tired, but really feel great and expect to quickly be back at 100%! Thanks again for all the posts and calls and messages!!! Sorry to be the harbinger of our impending elderliness and general fragility, but dammit - someone had to wake you people up! Take care of yourselves and hug those close to you!!
