Heading back to Tanzania this afternoon with World Vision and looking forward to the trip immensely. Joining a community in formal celebrations of the completion of a 3 year project to pipe safe and reliable water to their village (thanks to Kiwi sponsors) will be a remarkable experience. The primary focus of the trip however is the World Vision Triennial Council – every three years, CEOs and board members from across the World Vision international partnership gather to look back and look ahead all in the interests of creating a world where all children can experience life in all it’s beautiful fullness. To honour our commitment to children, this year our leaders will hear directly from 35 12-18 year olds from around the world – including 13 year old Isabella Denholm from Auckland, NZ (who I have the privilege of supporting through the trip). These young representatives will be considering some fairly significant issues related to global child well-being. If you’re keen to know more about what Izzy has researched and will be sharing at the council, check out youthforyouthnz.wordpress/
