Headline says: What does the Finnish ABC compared to Romanian ABC: it is playful and full of stories The article compares the 2 national textbooks for school kids learning the language. What I find interesting: apart from the fact that recently notorious SIVECO company seems to be in the game as well, both textbooks work with the childrens natural love for animals. Happy and funny bees from Romania and Finland fly thru the books pages, followed by happy dogs and cats. In the case of Finland this might be true - but Romania? ... A good textbook should reflect realities ... uh, what a problem Romania would have then. Better stay with romanticism, belittlement, fun .... How sad almost none of the EU Education Ministries understood until now the dire need for education in schools for the protection of nature, animals and humans. Except Lithuania, which has this in its curriculum. Bravo Lithuania.
