Health Challenge - Not Done Yet So, last we spoke I had hit my goal weight of 168lbs. Im happier and healthier than I have been in 3 years. So whats next? Well, Ive decided to target body fat percentage. Im not going to be fixed on weight because as my muscle continues to rise it will be a very deceiving number. Ill submit to weekly calliper tests and my goal is now to get down to between 10-12% body fat. Considering Im sitting at 15%, Im in good shape. Based on what I know about my body, if I get to around 10% body fat I should be around 160lbs just for reference, but like I said, Im focused on body fat %. Also, to help ease my stress levels Ive also not given myself a timetable. I plan on doing it naturally and however long it takes Im not worried about it, just like everyone should. Eat healthy, excercise often, supplement when necessary and whatever your weight/body fat % is youll eventually reach it. BUT...then this happened...I motivated someone. Some people need a challenge. They need an outside influence to really get the ball rolling and feel a sense of urgency. Thats totally normal, in fact thats how I got started at the beginning of the summer and now I can just continue to ride the wave. But a friend of mine, who will remain nameless (Scott Emmerson at Sandbox Fitness), has watched me do so well that hes asked me to return the favour and help motivate him. So, hes called me out in privacy and to help motivate him Im calling him out in public. Scott Emmerson of Sandbox Fitness has challenged that he can get down to 215 lbs. before I can get down to 160 lbs. He suggested a race and he hit me where it counts...right in my competitive Spirit! In the spirit of health Ive accepted the challenge. I will continue to post as necessary and I hope Scott you post your progress here as well. Here is my new weekly routine: Monday - morning 5km run, afternoon martial arts Tuesday - morning personal training Wednesday - morning 5km run Thursday - morning personal training Friday - morning 5km run, evening martial arts Saturday - rest Sunday - morning weights and energy system Your move Scott :)
