Health Update... Looks like I may have something called a Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST). They are not 100% certain yet. I have to go back in for yet another round of tests and possibly minor surgery to nail this down for sure. But thats the suspicion. The good news is that Im told if this is GIST, it appears to be small, which means its unlikely to be cancerous. Theres something there that theyre worried about, but its so small they nearly missed it. Thats good because its the big ones that are usually bad news in terms of the Big C. The odds are heavily in my favor. HOORAY! Fortunately, they gave me something for the mild pain and its really helping. And, the time I have to take away from work and life in general will not be too bad if this turns out to be benign (which is very likely). Gotta keep making money, after all, right? Any positive vibes, prayers, and happy thoughts will be greatly appreciated. My spirits are high (you cant really get me down for long), and I have every reason to believe this will end up being a minor blip in my life. :)
