Health insurance issues are all resolved. The whole family is covered. This is really weird to me, its a huge social disconnect. I feel accomplished. I feel like I did something huge for my family. My neighbors dont get that, because health insurance is just something everyone has here, per government mandate. I was always raised to think that health insurance was this huge luxury thing. It was what let you go to the hospital when you were sick. I grew up with a family that refused to go to the doctor unless it was a life-threatening emergency. Even then, sometimes they wouldnt unless the threat was sufficient to render them unconscious. In the States, thanks to Obamacare, I was able to get rudimentary insurance. But even then, it was too much in premiums, and with the deductibles, I couldnt afford to actually go when I needed. It was basically paying a few hundred dollars a month just in case I got cancer. Now? I can go to the doctor whenever I need. Ill pay somewhere between zero and ten dollars to go. The monthly cost is relatively negligible. Its less than my cellphone bill to cover the whole family.
