Health they say is wealth. A healthy workforce will produce a wealthy nation. In terms of health professionals in Nigeria we are very far from the required number to produce or achieve this yet there is this continuous rural-urban developing to developed nation migration of our health workers. The question is do you think they are not patriotic? I beg to differ. My theory is just pay then half of what the developed county pays them and a lot of then will return back to help our comatose health system. More so many will forget about checking out after acquiring the degree here. (In reality it is by far chreaper to acquire the degree here). I know we dont like telling ourselves the truth in Nigeria but the truth is a well paid health professional would gladly contribute to building a healthy and wealthy nation. HEALTH THEY SAY IS WEALTH.
