Health update for Shay Worthing: As you know her surgery last weekend was not the success we had hoped for. As it turns out, it was totally unsuccessful. The tumor has grown to the point where it is restricting more than half of her airway and more than 90% of the ventricle that returns blood from the upper right side of her body (including her head). Rather than risking another dangerous surgery they have admitted her in to Moffit for a long hard round of chemo. She will be there for several days as they monitor her kidneys and other vital organs to prevent dangerous side effects. The next few months promise to be very difficult at best. Visitors will be restricted as her immune system will crash quickly. If you have any questions please contact me. She is remaining strong but she needs our strength and support right now, thank you.
