Hear to bring some historical perspective BYU fans. I mean we all long for the good old days of BYU football. But I witnessed some bad losses in the Lavell era like giving up 60 plus points to UCLA and Texas A & M and even Hawaii, there was an embarrassing loss to Utah State here or there, Scott Mitchell and the Utes going for 56 against the Cougs, and yes, the year after the national championship run, a shocking loss to a horrible UTEP team (and BYU fans in such disbelief they claimed UTEP coaches tapped into BYUs phone lines)... I guess what eats at many, including me, was the expectation of a great season, perhaps running the table against a what was then considered a very soft schedule. BYU should get bowl eligible but it will be hollow. But has BYU had worst defeats than this, oh yeah and Ive seen a few of them in my lifetime.
