Heard about Lait Lum village beyond Smit , a couple of years back , but forgot about it. Thanks to the post by Subhadeep Kar last week, I was inspired to take my cousins from Lucknow to the unseen location. Its about 15 kms from Smit town. After crossing Smit it was foggy all the way. The fog became dense as we approached the location. The visibility was less than 20 ft. We had to trek about a km before we reached the rope way , the only means of transportation to the remote village deep down the valley totally invisible due to dense fog. The trolley went down almost vertically at an angle of 70-75 degree. On a rare clear day one can see a village deep down. The only way down is trek on steps. Didnt know how many n no one to tell us much about it. Wish we had a clear day. May b better luck next time. We truly enjoyed the trip even with our limited luck ( it wasnt raining ). Ended the trip with a well earned n hearty meal at Deja Vu . ❤️
