Heard back from the LW who was called a bad writer by the boss in the January 11 column: I want to thank you so much for answering my question and helping me find ways to become a better writer. I did read the advice from other readers, and a lot of it was really useful. I have the webpage bookmarked so that I can go back and review some of it when I can. ... Thank you again. I greatly appreciate all of the advice, and you have no idea how much it meant to me. I know how important it is to be able to clearly communicate in any profession, so I was really bothered that I was somehow sabotaging myself. So, thanks to all of you who chimed in and offered handy tips. I think LW is gonna be juuuuuuust fine.
