Hearing of the tornados that hit the Mid-West yesterday brought - TopicsExpress

Hearing of the tornados that hit the Mid-West yesterday brought back memories of the tornado that hit Mena, AR in November several years ago. I was the manager of the Wal-Mart store and I had taken a few days off to go deer hunt. Debbie, Kevin and Jarrod were all in my little 1990 GO tracker coming back from the deer woods. We were driving down main highway through town when we spotted the tornado. We turned around and headed the other way going to Wal-Mart. I pulled up in front of Wal-Mart ran in and started yelling everybody to the back of the store. We had a spot that we had been told was the safest part of the store and I got every one to this spot as the tornado passed across the street. We were fortunate we had no damage but there was damage all around. Sometimes there are storms in our lives. The wind blows us around. We can see the funnel coming after us and there appears to be no place to hide. I have good news for you. My Heavenly Father is the safe place in a time of storm. We that live in this part of the country know that bad storms are going to come so we prepare places to hide while the storm passes by. Go to your Heavenly Father today in prayer and start preparing your shelter from the next storm.
