Heart breaking documentary Jackies Story: My Life, My Legacy tomorrow night at 9pm on TV3 “What do you do when you’re closer to fifty than forty, visit the doctor with a mild complaint, and get told you have months to live?” These are the heartbreaking words of Jackie Crowe, a 49-year-old mother from Kerry who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just two years prior to that, Jackie was made redundant which meant the financial situation at home became increasingly difficult. Her financial struggle meant she fell behind on her mortgage payments. In an attempt to meet the mortgage payments, Jackie ceased paying her life assurance policy, unaware of the uncertain future she would be left with when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
