Heartbreak for Caeden today. Before we left Vegas the boys wanted to go play one more midway game to win a prize. Caeden had his allowance and birthday money he had been saving in his pocket...$40. When he checked his money pouch for his money it was gone. It fell out and he didnt notice. We went back to look for it and someone had found $20 and gave it back to him (loved the honesty) and they also saw someone else pick up the other $20 and pocketed it and kept walking. :( Hard life lesson about responsibility. Hard not to just give him another $20. Ugh! But we encouraged him that when things like that happen, life and God have a way of turning it around and bringing it back if we just surrender to the process and trust our journey and let go of our anger about what happened. We let him process his feelings of sadness and anger and helped him get through to the other side of it. But it was still a rough one. Trusting his journey. Trusting our journey. Thank you God and life for caring about the small and big things in our lives. And to the person who found his $20, we are glad you found a blessing. It is all perspective.
