Heat 3 Results for Lighty’s “So You Think You Can DJ Comp! The DJ’s were rated on the following categories: -Skill -Songs -Style -Crowd -Party Atmosphere 3rd place – DJ Hips - Score of 14.25/25 DJ Hips had to break the ice in the Skyy Bar by being the first DJ for the night. Hips played a wide range of commercial tunes to please all and occasionally slipped in his own style and sound with a music synthesiser to change things up. At the later end of his set, Hips managed to get the crowd on their feet, bouncing around to kick off what was yet another Wild Wednesday night. 2nd place – Yo Yo DJs – 18/25 Rocking out with their matching black and white shirts, the Yo Yo DJs did not disappoint. They eased their way into the set with a few chilled tracks to start and quotes on the mic of “let’s get tropical”! The Yo Yo DJs went on to pick things up later in the set and the crowd was rocking in the Skyy Bar, skill and style rated very high as these boys knew what they were doing. Very unlucky not to go through to the next round, the Yo Yo set was extremely enjoyable and smooth! 1st Place – Lost Boys – 18.5/25 Last act for the night was the Lost Boys and they surely delivered with the goods. Style and skill was very close to the Yo Yo DJ’s, but their ability to party hard and pump up the crowd was the clinching factor to the Lost Boys victory. Set list rated very high and the Lost Boys carried on after their allocated 45 minutes to further please the buzzing crowd. Great set all round a well done on the win and chance to still collect the $1000 prize!
