Heat. So heres the thing. Many times those of us that live in the desert say Its a dry heat. When my family goes to New Orleans in July many of my desert-dwelling friends say, Oh but its so humid there!! Yes. Its humid. But having spent the last two and a half weeks in New Orleans....and having spent two weeks there last July....I can say this. The summer in New Orleans, even with the humidity, is WAY nicer than the summer in Phoenix. WAY. Like, not even close. Its not even a competition. Over the last couple of weeks we were able to have dinner outside while the sun was up a couple of times. It was a little steamy....but nobody is having dinner outside in Phoenix this time of year. There were days when it was actually somewhat cool, especially in the morning. If nothing else pretty much every week there is going to be some kind of break from the heat.....that doesnt happen from May until November here in the Valley of the Sun. So I will no longer be saying that summer in the south is equal to the summer here in Phoenix and the only difference is the humidity. Its not. Take it from me.
