Heather Long took her senior rescue dog, Pappy along with her other dogs to Mellon Park for some quality time. You see, Pappy is 14 years old and may not see many more unexpected sunny days. She was messaging with myself and Mary Kennedy Withrow and saying how important it was that he feel the sunshine and feel peacefulness now. Minutes after she sent us these beautiful pictures of her crew here comes one of so many egocentric, ignorant dog owners who think because their dog is friendly the law doesnt apply to them. She had to ward off the dog who came running into their space and yank Pappy by the collar all while restraining Niqua who is Not dog friendly. This was to protect the Other dog who is clearly oblivious to the trouble he is about to get himself into. She said she could hear Pappy like the wind got knocked out of him before he just laid on the ground afraid and confused. It should NOT have been Heather who had to handle her own dogs as well as miss well kept housewifes dog and leave the park heartbroken because this happened on what may be their last day at the park with Pappy. How bout someone enforcing those laws. God knows you can go to any city park at any given day and find several people with dogs off leash. Pretty sure they could use the revenue.
