Heaven has gained an another angel. I went to the Visitation of a good friend in St. Joe tonight to say my farewells. Scott Morris and I met about 10 years ago when Beaner and I joined a search and rescue team. Scott had a fabulous black lab. . .Molly, who was a great search dog and they were a wonderful team! Many of us formed a new team and even more memories and a lifetime of love and friendships! It was great to see some of the group tonight, say farewell to our wonderful friend and to reminisce about old times. Our fun . . and sometimes not so fun. . .training sessions, camping and training at Ft. Custer, night searches, surviving storms in tents, extreme tracks laid out for us to search (John McGarry), introducing the dogs to the equine team, Beaners serenade when the ambulance - with sirens - pulled up to a training session, our cooking contests during our training camp outs, the campers who walked by our campsite and asked how to get a Shepherd to stop shedding, and of course our amazing victims who gave us and our dogs some great training opportunities! God Speed Scott! We love you and you will always be in our hearts!
