Heavenly Father, We thank you for being the God of the peaceful - TopicsExpress

Heavenly Father, We thank you for being the God of the peaceful day and the God of the stormy night. Through the good and the bad, you stay the same…your promises remain true… you are the one constant in life…and we thank you that through the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, you never give up on us. Father, so many here have weathered so many storms…we know we all must face adversity, but then so many have also faced their trials alone…they have been let down, put down, ignored and misjudged…usually by the ones who should love them through it all and should know them the best…Father, for those who must remain silent in their suffering for fear of being ostracized or criticized… for those who have faced rejection and harsh treatment when they dare to be real and share what is happening in their lives…for those who have found a lack of support when they have tried to express the pain they deal with emotionally, mentally or physically…for those who are thought to be faking or exaggerating… Father, we ask for you to pull them up from the muck and the mire that makes them feel like they are trudging through life alone…we ask that your words and your comfort would make up for the words that should have been said by others and werent…we pray that your voice will drown out the hurtful words that sound like thunder in the midst of the storm…we pray that you would be their shelter when it feels like their world is about to cave in and collapse…be their stability and help plant their feet on solid ground. Lord, for those who are dealing with things like stress, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, depression, fearfulness and worry…Father, please bring peace to the storms that are raging in their minds…just like you calm the winds and the waves with just a word, we ask for you to please do the same in each unsettled mind and heart. We know nothing is impossible for you, Father…we ask to see your goodness and healing, in the land of the living, Lord. Father, for each weary heart…for each person who thinks they are broken beyond repair, for each person who thinks that their situation is hopeless, for each person who finds more questions than answers… please impress on their hearts the need to seek you out with a new sense of urgency and expectancy…may they find examples in your Word that will bring comfort in their situations. The Bible says, “that everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.†Fill each person here with your hope, Lord. Go before them and make the rough roads smooth and make a way where there seems to be no way. We love you Lord and we thank you for your grace. Help us to praise you in our storms, Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
