Heavenly Father, When I get weary I remember the invitation - TopicsExpress

Heavenly Father, When I get weary I remember the invitation that Jesus gave me to come to Him and find rest for my soul. I can then submit to His yoke and learn of Him because He is meek and humble. Those two characteristics of Jesus are the most basic qualities that should be in my life because through them, I overcome all disillusionment. Trusting You and embracing all of the events in my life give me opportunities to know You more intimately. They also remove the burden that comes when I resist the incidents that don’t happen the way I think they should. Whenever I start making plans for the way I want things to happen, the very nature of the objectives become expectations that can easily become a stumbling block when You want to do something different. I give all of my hopes and dreams to You so that I can focus on the yoke that Jesus gives me. That way I can learn more and more about You and flow with Your purposes and activity which is always going on around me. Isaiah 55:1-3 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.” Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
