Heavy Rain Alert – Cancellation Heavy Rain Alert Cancellation issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service at 5:00 pm this evening on Wednesday 30th April 2014. A Heavy Rain Alert previously in force for Isabel, Central, Guadalcanal, Malaita, Makira and Rennell/Bellona provinces is now Cancelled. This is due to a trough lies just south of Solomon Islands and links to a weak Low now moving further away from Solomon Islands. Associated cloud and areas of heavy rain showers are now easing. However, do not attempt to cross flooding rivers and large streams of unknown depth. This the final update. Date: 30th April 2014.
