Heavy hearts here at Karousel to say that the lovely Lizzie Raymer is being turfed out and onto a plane as her Visa is up. Having lost Vik for a similar, and quite ridiculous reason this year, its quite a blow… though we know shell thrive in her new surroundings over the pond just as Vik is doing in Prague. (If you want to talk music in Cz… talk Vik!) Lizzie has been a wonderful friend to us, manning the door for shows, dragging friends out to see the acts, and generally spreading the gospel about better treatment for emerging acts in the UK and beyond. She was also a big part of planning the last speed networking event with Gabrielle. One of the kindest, biggest hearted people weve met - always there to be supportive and encouraging both to us and the acts, well miss her terribly. Safe journey Lizzie, and good luck finding another reason to get back to the UK soon!
