Heavy snow in the Casper area has led to a large number of calls for service. Numerous calls have been received for downed and damaged power lines as a result of falling trees and branches. Please use extreme caution where power lines are damaged. Do not approach power lines or attempt to move one. Also be aware of objects such as fences and vehicles that power lines may have come in contact with as they may be energized. Rocky Mountain Power is being notified however they are very busy as well and repairs could take some time. Additionally be aware of falling trees and branches as they can be very dangerous. Please take time to look up and down and be aware of your surroundings remembering some hazards can be hidden by snow.
