Heb 13:7 Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. 1Ti 5:17 Let the elders who perform the duties of their office well be considered doubly worthy of honor [and of adequate financial support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching. 1Ti 5:17 Ang mga matanda na nagsisipamahalang mabuti ay ariing may karapatan sa ibayong kapurihan, lalong lalo na ang mga nangagpapagal sa salita at sa pagtuturo. Gal 6:6 Datapuwat ang tinuturuan sa aral ng Dios ay makidamay doon sa nagtuturo sa lahat ng mga bagay na mabuti.(tab) Gal 6:6 Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].(amp) >Your Pastor is Gods gift to you. Eph.4:8, 11-12 Eph 4:8 Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men. Eph 4:11 and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, Eph 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to the work of the ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ; Eph 4:8 Kayat sinasabi niya, Nang umakyat siya sa itaas ay dinala niyang bihag ang pagkabihag, At nagbigay ng mga kaloob sa mga tao. That the pastors here were the bishops and presbyters of the Church, is evident from Act_20:28; 1Pe_5:1-2, where the bishops and presbyters office is said to be to feed the flock. The term, shepherd or pastor, is used of guiding and governing and not merely instructing, whence it is applied to kings, rather than prophets or priests (Eze_34:23; Jer_23:4). Compare the names of princes compounded of pharnas, Hebrew, pastor, Holophernes, Tis-saphernes (compare Isa_44:28). Your Pastor is Gods under shepherd. As Gods gift, Pastors are to be receiving. Mtt.10:40-41 Mat 10:40 He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me. Mat 10:41 He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophets reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous mans reward. - As you receive your Pastor, you honor Jesus, and you will receive the pastors reward. - The pastors reward would be; divine protection, spiritual nourishment, guidance, being equipped for the works of the ministry among others. >Remember him that has the rule over you. Heb.13:7 Heb 13:7 Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. - Follow and imitate your man of God even as he follows Jesus. 1Cor.11:1 1Co 11:1 It pleases me that you continue to remember and honor me by keeping up the traditions of the faith I taught you. All actual authority stems from Christ. - Submit yourselves. Heb.13:17 >Honoring your pastor. Rom.13:7 Rom 13:7 Fulfill your obligations as a citizen. Pay your taxes, pay your bills, respect your leaders. -Let the Elder that rule well be counted worthy of double honor. 1Tim.5:17 1Ti 5:17 Let the elders who perform the duties of their office well be considered doubly worthy of honor [and of adequate financial support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching. (amp) 1Ti 5:17 Give a bonus to leaders who do a good job, especially the ones who work hard at preaching and teaching. (msg) -Double honor means double re numeration or double honorarium according to Dr. Willie Leynes. - In the Old Testament, those who are in the full-time ministry received an above average income. *The tribe of Levi receives 110% which would be equivalent to the tithes of the eleven others tribes. Each tribe would only receive 90% *How much more we need to honor our man of God in the New Testament. - Your pastor cannot bring you to a place he has not been. *Illustration: Your pastor cannot bring you to the baptism in the Holy Spirit experience if he himself is not yet baptized in the Holy Spirit. *If you want to prosper financially, then help your pastor prosper. -Your pastor is a good ground to sow your financial seeds. Gal.6:6-8 Gal 6:6 Datapuwat ang tinuturuan sa aral ng Dios ay makidamay doon sa nagtuturo sa lahat ng mga bagay na mabuti.(tab) Gal 6:6 Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].(amp) -Two primary ways to sow your seeds: *Giving to the ministry *Giving to the minister -You are to become a partner with your pastor in the gospel financially. Phi.4:15-19 Phi 4:15 And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only. Phi 4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time. Phi 4:17 Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. Phi 4:18 But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. Phi 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. -The result: God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. _ Apply this principle of teaching to your daily life, believe your life and family never be the same again. Even in your Spiritual journey and natural journey never is the same again. Ptr.
