Heb 5:7 In the days of His flesh, [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [ always] able to save Him [ out] from death and He was heard because of His reverence towards God [ His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of seperation from the bright presence of the Father." Some of us are reluctant to pray or even think we dont need to pray because God already knows what we want, and some of us just pray generally wout being specific in our demands. If Jesus, The Word made flesh, the visible image of the Godhead, The Only Begotten Son of the Father, prayed with tears to the Father, who are we, not to pray.sometimes, we need to cry out for God to hear us.( remember david said, this poor man Cried and the Lord heard him.....)We need to cry out, yes He knows our needs, He knows our pain, our struggles etc but we still need to cry out to Him.there is no shame in it,He is our Father and God..The bible says the God heard Jesus coz of His reverence for God.If you want God to hear ur cry, u need to reverence Him, u need to submit to His will and obey His commandments.may the Lord teach us how to pray effectively in Jesus Name.
