Heb 6:1 Therefore, having left the discourse of the beginning of Christ, let us go on to full growth, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. >> In order to build a strong believer, you must first have a strong foundation! The foundational teachings of Christ are as follows: 1. Repentance from dead works: Turning from sin and sinning to Christ! 2. Faith towards God: Trusting Christ alone as your all in all! 3. Teaching of Baptisms: Baptism into Christ, (the new birth) Baptism in water, Baptism with the Holy Spirit! 4. Laying on of hands: For impartation, healing, blessing, ordination etc. (Not just ceremony, but releasing the power of God!) 5. Resurrection of the Dead: The Biblical foundation, the Resurrection of Christ, and the Promise of future resurrection(s). 6. Eternal Judgement: The judgment seat of Christ, the thousand year reign of Christ with His saints, the Great White throne etc. These basic teachings give under-girding and understanding to the believer and give God a foundation to build on to bring them into the maturity of Jesus Christ!
