Hebrews 11:6(Message) says "It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him." In Nov 2002 I gave up trying it my way, I was presented with the gospel and I had a choice, either accept Jesus into my life or reject Him. At the time I was not 100% sure whether the preacher was telling the truth, the only was I would know was by responding to the call. Deep down I knew that something was right about being born again and my life would never be the same again, because I had to overcome thoughts that were trying to stop me, such as pride, what my work colleagues might think, what my family night think, what my friends might think. But I was desperate and I knew that none of those people could help me. It was between me and God. I had to be honest before God. I had never been honest before God before, it was as though He had been kept in a box from the past. The real meaning of repentance is change. It is to turn around from the direction you have been going and turning to Jesus and following Him and having a relationship with Him. The bible says that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved. Rom 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
