Hebrews 13:2. (2) Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (KJV) {A couple years ago, my wife and I attended a Church program at a different Church. After sitting for about 5 minutes, an elderly Woman touched me on my right shoulder and said; Sir, thats my seat, I always sit there, can you move because youre sitting in my seat.! The thought of that experience is what inspired me to share the following story that I came across.} One Sunday, a stranger went to visit a different Church. He arrived early, parked his car in a parking space, and proceeded to get out. At that moment another car pulled up behind the strangers car. The Man got out and said; Hey stranger, I always park there, You took my place.! The stranger said nothing as He proceeded to enter the Church for Sunday School. Where He found an empty seat and sit down. Shortly, a young Lady from the Church approached Him and said; Excuse me stranger, but thats my seat, You took my place.! The Man was somewhat distressed by the rude welcome, but again said nothing. Toward the end of Service, the Pastor asked the congregation; Who among us wants to stand and pray before we dismiss.? The stranger stood up, just as He begin to pray He was rudely interrupted by one of the Men from the congregation who also stood up and said; Sorry stranger, but its my turn to pray, Youre trying to take my place.! As the stranger turned to face the Man from the congregation, suddenly, His appearance began to drastically change. Horrible scares became visible on the strangers face and hands. His gray suit begin to appear as a purple robe, His hat in His bloody hands appeared to be transfigured into a crown of thorns. The Man from the congregation looked shocked as he cried out; What happen to You.! A tear fell from the strangers eye as He said; I TOOK YOUR PLACE!!! The moral of this message is; The Word of God says; We are to show hospitality/kindness to people, even the ones we dont know. (Strangers) Its so easy to get caught up in our Jobs, Churches, Community affairs, and being nice to the people we know, but the most basic kindness is showing hospitality/kindness to a stranger. Today, the World is full of hurting people who only need a warm smile, kind word, and a gentle touch. When was the last time you offered a stranger; a warm smile? a chance to park in your space? the opportunity to sit in your seat? or to pray for you.? #WhenWasTheLastTimeYouAllowedSomeoneToTakeYourPlace
