Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The word of God is the most important resource we have , it has all the answers, it can change you, it can encourage you, it will disapline you. It truly is a two edged sword ready to cut away all that is in each of us that sin has harmed and create in us His glory. Jesus is the word. The best place to go when you want to know Jesus better is the word. We dont produce light, we just reflect his light to the world. This happens by the two edged sword. The word of God separates good from evil. By the power behind the word you know in your knower the things of God and the things that are not. Do you want to know Jesus better, he is the word. If you know me at all you will have heard when was the last time you read your bible when was the last time you sat and let the word of God refresh you, give you strength, direction, compassion, grace? When was the last time you fell on your face and let the word of God correct you and forgive you and set you on His path, the right path. By the word of God your thoughts and actions are laid bear. You cant hide who you are and what your intent is from the God who loves you. The cutting edge of the word will require Holiness from you, this word will separate you from things in the world that can grab hold of you and hurt you. I cant say it enough that the word of God should be hidden in your heart so when not if the enemy comes at you, you will have what you need to fight and you will be ready. We are without excuse, we have the truth at our finger tips, we have all the strength and power We need, but its up to you to learn how to use it. Yes the word will tare away sin, it will convict us to tears,and at times our hearts will be broken but it will also hold us and comfort us and forgive us and pour over us His grace. And His word will pick up our broken pieces and make us into master pieces. Check out your words today, to they honor God and build others up, or are they destroying other and revealing who we really are. Pick up the word today, let the love from the word ( Jesus ) soak into you and change you, and you will truly reflect what you have soaked in. And let that reflection be Jesus to others.
