Hebrews Chapter: 11:1 Faith makes us sure of what we hope for - TopicsExpress

Hebrews Chapter: 11:1 Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. (Faith is based on the Word of God.) Romans Chapter: 5:1-11 What It Means To Be Acceptable to God By faith we have been made acceptable to God (this is the only way we can be justified; refers to Faith in Christ and what He did at the Cross). And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace a with God. Christ has also introduced us to Gods undeserved kindness on which we take our stand (we have access to the Goodness of God by Faith in Christ). So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the glory of God. But thats not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope that will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with His love. (Gods Love brings all this about.) Christ died for us at a time when we were helpless and sinful. No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though someone might be willing to die for a truly good person. But God showed how much He loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful. (Christ dying for the ungodly is a proof of Love immeasurable.) But there is more! (If Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, how much more will He do for us now that we are Redeemed and thereby reconciled to Him.) Now that God has accepted us because Christ sacrificed his lifes blood (the Blood of Christ stands as the guarantee for that Justification), we will also be kept safe from Gods anger. Even when we were Gods enemies, He made peace with us, because His Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, we will be saved by His Sons Life. And in addition to everything else, we are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us. (We are to boast of of our Reconciliation to God, for it is a true confidence.)
