Hectic Preparation Underway for STH- Miss Sumi 2014. The “STH Miss Sumi” beauty pageant 2014 edition will be held under “BEING SULIMI” as the theme on 23th October. This was unanimously adopted during the Miss Sumi Organizing Committee joint meeting here at STH chamber hall Saturday. The house in its 3-hour long deliberation and consultative meeting adopted the following:- proposed and approved the budget estimates; tickets and online registrations; eligibility criteria; prizes, sub-title and gift hampers; and other technical aspects. Accordingly 12 (twelve) subcommittee had been formed and assigned respective duties. All the sub-committee and its members are headed the Sumi frontal/apex HOHOs/NGOs and Zbto based frontal NGOs/organization (s). The Miss Sumi, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and other 5 (five) subtitles namely Miss- “Personality/Beautiful Skin/ Beautiful Smile/Photogenic/Perfect 10” will carry a cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 35,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with citations and other gift hampers. Only “Sulimi by blood” 18 years and above; minimum height of 5’3 (above Five feet & three inches) will be eligible for beauty pageant contest, No minors will be entertained under any circumstances and hence, strict scrutiny of age proof preferably HSLC DOB certificates will be applied. The Designer and Grooming/Groomer will be Sheholi Yesca and Talienla OP Phom former Miss Nagaland respectively.The next joint coordination meeting has been convened on Saturday next, 20th September 1 pm at STH Chamber. The house has further requested the all Sumi community, other concerned individual (s)/Zbto HoDs and well wishers for due cooperation and pray for the success of the event. The meeting was held with the convenor Miss Sumi 2014 Khevishe Zhimo and Kotoli Chishi STH Gen Secretary as the chairpersons. (NB: The primal Sumi beauty pageant contest famously known as the Miss Sumi Ahuna held annually during one of the Ahuna evenings to mark and commemorate the Ahuna Festival has been scheduled prior to its official yearly calendar due to technical reasons. The Miss Nagaland 25th Anniversary will be commemorated on 7th November; this is prime reason/factor for organizing the Miss Sumi beauty pageant contest prior to its official calendar).
