Heh heh...an interesting comment from a reader about my endorsement of Frugal Real Food Meal Plans from Dont Waste the Crumbs -- How is it frugal when someone has to BUY what youre SELLING? Frugal should, at the very least, refer to gradually removing ourselves from this monetary system. Paying to be frugal is like an over played song without a decent chorus performed by a tone deaf populous who apparently hasnt heard enough yet. My response: I guess it all depends on how much time you have - if you have $1.84 a week to save $50-100 a week or to save 1-2+ hours of planning, thats worth it to some people. If you dont have the $1.84, then obviously youll have to come up with the time and know-how to keep your budget down. Tiffany offers a lot of free resources on her blog, as do I, for frugal real food. I highly recommend checking them out. :) Considering I just ran the numbers for 2014 and spent - no exaggeration - almost 3x what Tiffany spends and with only one more eater, Im thinking I better start following her plan myself!! I just put at least one meatless meal into the 2 weeks I just forced myself to plan out...its a start... What do you think?
